Garbage
The heavy hitter. Grease, drips, and whatever leaked out of the bag back in July. We wash it out and the smell goes with it.
Kitchener & Waterloo, Ontario
Bin Heroes is a kid-run crew that blasts, scrubs, and deodorizes your garbage, compost, and recycling bins — right in your driveway, on collection day.

Meanwhile, at the curb…
Garbage, compost, and recycling all get the same treatment: a high-pressure wash inside and out, biodegradable soap, and a deodorize before they go back up your driveway.
Black cart
The heavy hitter. Grease, drips, and whatever leaked out of the bag back in July. We wash it out and the smell goes with it.
Green cart
The green bin does the most damage in a Kitchener summer. We shut down the science experiment growing in the bottom.
Blue boxes
Sticky pop cans and jar residue rinse out fast. Your boxes come back clean and the flies lose interest.
Biodegradable cleaning products only. Nothing harsh going down your driveway.
Bins get deodorized inside and out, so the garage stops announcing itself.
A high-pressure blast lifts the grime stuck to the walls and the lid you never touch.
How the rescue works
No subscription, no lockbox, no waiting around for a window. Book it, leave the bins out, get them back clean.
Choose a slot from Ruby's calendar on the booking form. That's the appointment made — no waiting to hear back.
Empty bins at the curb on collection day, same as always. You don't need to be home.
Pressure wash inside, outside, and under the lid, with biodegradable soap and a scrub where it counts.
Deodorized, wiped down, and rolled back up your driveway before you get home.

Meet the heroes
Bin Heroes was started by Ruby, a kid in Idlewood, after a school marketing project and a few news stories about kids running bin cleaning businesses elsewhere in the country. She set the prices, designed the logo, and picked the products.
Some days she works alone, some days friends join in. Parents supervise every booking and handle the equipment and the safety side. You get a bin that doesn’t smell. She gets a first business worth being proud of.

Patrolling these streets
Ruby's home route is the 2.5 km around Idlewood she can walk to. Everywhere else in the three cities gets booked and scheduled once there's enough demand on that side of town.

Questions from the neighbourhood
Leave your empty bins at the curb on your collection day. We arrive after the truck, pressure wash each bin inside and out with biodegradable soap, deodorize it, and roll it back up your driveway. You don't need to be home.
One bin is $10, two bins are $15, and two bins plus your recycling boxes are $20. Prices are per visit inside our service area, with no subscription required.
Ruby's walking route covers Idlewood, Lackner Woods, Stanley Park, Chicopee, and Grand River South in Kitchener — postal codes starting N2A — and she books those on demand. We also take bookings anywhere else in Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge; those get scheduled once a few households in your area are waiting, so the crew can do them in one trip.
No. As long as your empty bins are at the curb on collection day, we can clean them and put them back. If you'd rather be there, just say so when you book.
High-pressure water and biodegradable, planet-friendly cleaning products. No bleach and no harsh chemicals.
Yes. Bin Heroes was started and is run by Ruby, a kid in the Idlewood neighbourhood of Kitchener, with friends joining in on the busy days. She set the prices, designed the branding, and chose the cleaning products. Parents supervise every booking and handle the equipment and the safety side.
Most households book once at the start of summer and again in late August, when green bins are at their worst. Some book monthly through the warm months. It's up to you — there's no contract.
